Programme and Abstract Submission

Oh, the places you'll go! (Dr. Seuss)

In the quarter century since the first Dynamics Days in 1980, the field has undergone a shift from paradigms to applications. Dynamics Days 2006 aims at giving an overview of the very diverse fields, in which nonlinear dynamics has found applications and at identifying future trends of research.

The conference will include invited plenary overview-talks, a number of topical invited minisymposia, contributed talks, and posters.

Abstract submission:

Participants are encouraged to contribute their recent results in all areas of nonlinear dynamics. There will be several poster sessions. A limited number of contributions will be selected for oral presentation. Following a tradition, there will be awards for best poster presentations.

Topics

We invite contributions in the following areas and applications of nonlinear dynamics:

  • dynamical systems
  • complex networks
  • complex systems in biological physics
  • complex growth and dispersal
  • population dynamics and epidemiology
  • neuronal dynamics
  • discrete breathers
  • granular materials
  • traffic flow
  • econophysics
  • chaos in Hamiltonian systems
  • quantum chaos
  • turbulence and fluid dynamics
  • pattern formation
  • spatio-temporal chaos
  • time series analysis
  • chaos control
  • synchronization of non linear systems
  • non-equilibrium statistical physics
  • applications in engineering and nanoscience

Schedule:

The conference will start on Monday, September 25, at 9 am and end on Friday, September 29.
There will be a conference excursion on Wednesday afternoon, followed by a Conference Dinner in the evening.
