Outline

Dynamics Days Europe is a series of major international annual conferences for nonlinear science with a long tradition aimed at covering the entire field of dynamics and nonlinearity.

It provides a European forum for developments in the theory and applications of nonlinear dynamics.

Founded in 1980, it has been bringing together researchers from a wide range of backgrounds including physics, chemistry, biology, engineering and mathematics for interdisciplinary research in nonlinear science.

Previous meetings were held in Berlin, Palma de Mallorca, Heidelberg, Dresden, Guildford, Como, Edinburgh, Lyon, Budapest, Rydzyna, Berlin, Dusseldorf, and Twente.

The European Dynamics Days 2006 will take place in a seaside Hotel in Hersonissos near Heraklion on the island of Crete from September 25 - 29, 2006.

Hersonissos, a former fishing village on the north coast of Crete located 24 km east of Heraklion International Airport, offers a pleasant setting with good beaches, water sport facilities and can be reached conveniently.

Nearby are major attractions like the archaeological sites of Knossos (24km) and Malia (7 km), the Lassithi Plateau and Dikti Cave (16 km)
